Thank you for visiting the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Commission website.
The Fourth of July Commission is a non-profit 501c3 organization that was formed in 1974 for the purpose of planning the 1976 Bicentennial celebration. The Commission is an all-volunteer group that works throughout the year to raise funds and plan the various activities.
Since 1976 the events have grown and typically include the 5K Firecracker Fun Run, downtown Parade, Party-in-the-Park with entertainment and free games for kids, and the spectacular Fireworks show in the evening.
However, 2020 is not a typical year, and though we are not having our usual ‘in-person’ events, our goal is to still serve our great community and honor our Nation’s birthday by providing modified and virtual events.
We wish everyone a happy and safe 2020 Fourth of July, and we look forward to planning an exciting event for 2021!
